Personal training is as individual as you are! After an initial consultation your fitness program will be designed once we identify what motivates you, your likes, dislikes and ultimately what you are looking to achieve.
I will combine different methods and styles of training to suit. This may be mostly using weights with a focus on both strength and conditioning, whilst teaching you different techniques to get the most out your sessions with me and so that are confident to the replicate this on your own too.
Alternatively we may be more focused on high intensity training with a combination of heavier and lighter weights, body weight exercises, plyometrics and intervals, all dependant on what your goals are.
My client sessions are known to be quite fast past paced and I am a keen believer that the key to achieving results (or not) is the time and intensity your muscles/body are under tension/challenge. I want you to get the most out of the time spent with me to achieve maximum results. At the same time I want you to feel comfortable with the level we are working at and, most importantly, enjoy our sessions and reap all the rewards they will bring.
80% of your body transformation and fitness results is dependant on nutritional requirements – therefore, the first factor we will need to consider in order for you to reach your goals is how to adjust your diet accordingly. Initially this will include a food diary analysis, body stat measurements, advice on carbohydrates, proteins and fats and the effects they have on your body – helping you to understand how nutrient timing plays an important roll. Ways to increase the metabolism and providing you with a detailed food plan for you to follow.
As we progress and monitor your results closely we make adjustments where necessary to make sure you continue to see maximum results. Every person is different so the design of your plan and ongoing adjustments is personally designed just for you.
This can often be as much of an inner job as it is out to create total transformation and can end up going far deeper than applied health and fitness techniques.
Often we are unaware of self sabotaging behaviours and wondering why we never quite follow through with a plan we put in place to achieve our goals.
Logically we know that to follow a plan we will achieve a result. But how many times have you started to apply something positive and life seemed to get in the way, an external force out of your control and wanted you to mess up?
When we try and adopt a new behaviour our subconscious can go into fear and bring up all the reasons why we shouldn’t be doing this – even if it’s completely to positively benefit our lives.
Our mind and body like to stay in homeostasis and avoid changeable situations.
Only when we become aware of our unconscious thoughts/beliefs that are holding us back, making them conscious can we reprogram to create a different story or new habit. In the beginning this will take conscious effort and time to create a success mindset but in time you will find you have reprogrammed and no longer fall back into those old negative thoughts/behaviours/patterns that have been holding you back.
It becomes good habit to incorporate regular daily mindset practices so you ensure each your are stepping towards the next best version of you. We will agree on some actions you can do daily to keep you moving towards your goals.
Whilst being in total control of your mindset and actions you make in each moment you will be able to reshape your health, body and life!
